Right then, best parts to buy

As the G2 failed to start on Satdee, best I show it some TLC as it might be on daily duties for a wee while 

so, a few Parts are needed. Whats best ?

1, Gear linkage repair kit - so many out there, some VERY cheap which i will avoid

2, HT leads , cap and rotor arm

Suggestions welcomed.

Complete linkage set on ebay about £20 had mine in me 16v four a couple of months, plus brought the mk3 weight upgrade. No complaints so far and after gearbox oil change and treatment put in, the gears a great the box feels tight again and defo no second gear crunch more than happy

1, Gear linkage kit. got mine from GSF a few years ago and still going strong! (Done about 700 miles now ) but after fitting the kit, it was apparent that I needed one of these, from the Dealers, and made all the difference... like new



2, Again, from the Dealer, service parts are cheap as chips, and best quality

THink ABF fitting is a tad optimistic in the time scale - oh and a certain rado needs doing first

I bought this about a month ago, with the weighted shift from MK3

Seems good quality and has removed all front and back play and no grinding into 2nd!
Really happy with it

Also had 'Intermotor' dizzy cap, rotor arm and leads from local auto factors at the same time with new plugs
All seem good! lengths of leads are all correct which is sometimes annoying with none dealer parts

whole ABF can be fitted in the same time as dizzy cap and leads.......*

it is quite possible to spend all day drinking beer and vodka fitting plug leads      

there is another potential option on the tabel with corrado atm waiting to see what happens there.  as my car shopping plans didn't quite go to plan today
