3m brushed alluminium

quick q i have brought some 3m brushed alluminium vinyl wrap. Planing on wrapping the crappy wood trim in my 4 motion mk4.

Anyone got a how to on this? also do i need to do it wet like you do window tints or is it matter of cutting it out and just sticking on taking out the bubbles??

My mate has his own decal company and he always wets the surface down, so I suspect its the same for a good job?

That is what i thought but i been told that best works with glass only. Been told use hair dryer

A hair dryer indeed 

Cut a piece slightly to big, give it a light misting of water, (that way you can sometimes slide the vinyl over the surface to re align it if need be), the use the hair dryer to slightly melt it so it is more elastic and can bend round corners and wedge into nooks. Then trim it with a craft knife
