Boost issue I think?????

I bought a gti t last night and it boost at 14 psi but this morning it wouldn't go over 4 psi. Does anyone know why??

limp mode? then again mine hits 10psi only and i dont know if this is right?

Is the car is standard e.g no remap you boost figures should be from 5-10psi in 1st-3rd, then drop to about 5psi in 4th-5th.

Stage 1 remap would normall see around 15-20
And stage 3 is about 30.

Now it is normal if your say in 2nd and your boost might fly up to about 11 then drop to a steady 5.

It has a stage one remap. Was 14 through all gears last night. Have been told that I should of let it warm up a bit longer this morning lol. It's my first turbo car so am new to this lol. Thanks for your replys tho. :)

no need to let it warm up tbf, when you start the car you can drive straight off the mark, try this though, start the engine and then turn off and the restart, i found i would only boost to 5psi and then when i turned the engine off then on again it was boosting at 10-11psi  :undecided: as far as i can tell there arent any issues either

dont let it warm up  :sick:

you should unless your not drivin it hard (will keep mine under 2k till it gets to 90) but whilst cold i have noticed that it does hold back

hope you didnt buy the golf thinkin it wont cost anything in the long run  :grin:
