Panel filter help

Ok guys so I'm going to replace my paper filter with a new one now I want to upgrade but don't know what to go for knN or pippercross and are they all the same size as on eBay they seem to be for specific years cheers for any help guys

Hi, pipercross is the preferred option because its not oiled like he K&N. this oil can damage the maf as it gets sucked into the engine.

I think all Golf 1.8t filters are the same size. I believe that the R32 is the same size also.

Try Awesome Gti, I just got a pipercross panel filter for my TDI. Fast delivery and the same price as flea bay! Plus piper cross have a lifetime guaranty. No problems with mine so far  :cool:

+1 to all said! got mine from fleebay, typed mk4 golf 1.8t panel filter in and it came straight up

Pipercross foam is what you want, they are non oiled and will cause less MAF issues in the long run.

Whilst on this subject, the pipercross manual state that when you come to clean the filter you should also oil it.

Is this a load of tosh? If so whats the best way to clean it?

No mate the Pipercross filters for VAG cars have a different foam structure?.. so don't need oil, if you oil it you risk killing the MAF
