Dual or solid mass flywheel?
« on: 19 November 2012, 18:47 »
Gents,

I don't know alot about clutches or gear boxes, I think the DMF on my TDI PD150 may be on its way out. I am getting slight vibrations through the foot well when the car is at idle. It is only happening occasionally.

My question is should it turn out to be new DMF time, should I get a solid flywheel or another DMF?

Thanks

Luke

I'm no expert but vw spent millions designing the car to have a dmf so thats how it should be in my opinion, plus ive heard the pedel doesnt feel as nice with a solid flywheel

Better to stick with a DMF on a diesel.

Thanks lads, Dmf it is then! Been quoted 700 quid for the work. Does that reasonable?
