Rns 510 help north west based

Hi guys I'm having issues with my rns 510 I need some help. Il come to you.
I will buy you many drinks!

Sorry let me be more specific it's regarding the firmware. I'm having issues and it needs sorting out.

If anyone has knowledge of the RNS and firmware updates I would love it if you could help me please.

Basically having MDI issues, I get system starting on the screen for ages even though the iPod or SD card is playing.
Media function is frozen, hope that helps

Firstly I would try both the following reset procedures shown here if you haven't done already:

If that doesn't work, disconnect the vehicle battery for ~20 minutes.

If none of that works I would get the dealer to check it out (assuming it's factory fitted and your car is under warranty?).. and just hope they don't suspect the firmware tinkering!

PS, does the screen freeze with the SD card removed/ipod disconnected?

Not factory fitted thats the issue.
