Sports Cat and Manifold
« on: 13 November 2012, 18:39 »
Hi am thinking of buying a full Jetex exhaust system.  What are your opinions on adding a sports cat and

sports manifold to it??

Save your money.

On a standard GTI 16v you will see no gains from either, it'll fail it's MOT with no Cat, and with standard engine mounts you'll crack the manifold in time.

It's not worth the money or effort on an otherwise standard or mildly modified engine.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

Indeed.
But you still won't see a gain in power!

I have tried many Jetex systems and they are relly quite, so not sure how you can say they are noisy.

I thought you lost your hearing as you got older,  not gained noise sensitivity?
