AMD technic Essex. Remap
« on: 12 November 2012, 22:15 »
Am taking the gti in for a stage 1 remap and milltek cat back exhaust tomorrow.
Has anyone got any experience with AMD of what they like?
Also what fuel is best for getting the remap done?
Cheers
Chris

ive used Amd a couple of times, they remapped both my st200 and rs2000 they are good lads. not heard any bad stories about them. As to the fuel, probably optimax or equivelant however its best to ask the company doing the mapping

I had the exact same package done to my GTI

Never had a problem with the engine or running,, but my clutch had to be upgraded due to extra torque

Had the work done. Nothing but praise for the guys at AMD. Had the remap cat back stainless milltek exhaust and a forge DV fitted. Results were just under 200 BHP. Car is a completely different car now. Would definitely recommend.

And you got just under 200bhp?  Is that at the wheels or flywheel?   Flywheel should be about 215-220 with your mods
