Autumy shots

Decided to put some proper effort into my photos for the first time in a while on Sunday, so got up early to make the most of the autumn colours and the early light. Never easy dragging yourself out of bed at 6.30am on a weekend and de-icing the car but well worth it I think.

Nice light and great colours. But I can't help feeling like the black borders don't give the image enough space to breathe, particularly on the 2nd to last one where the rays of light want to spread out.

Just my thought.

I think you'll find it's: 1/400 ƒ/5.6 ISO200 44mm using a EF-S15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens.

Although that's just a guess.  :grin:

Part of it is the coating on the 15-85mm lens, which is a gorgeous lens.

Another part *could* just be the light coming through the trees.

Thanks all!

The light through the trees was pretty much as it looked at the time. Just the right combination of sun, trees and light mist I think.

Actually taken just down the road from this one with a similar effect...
