Mk1 import 5 door

Hi guys I'm normally in the mk3 section but looked at a mk1 5 door today seized engine needs a lot of work what should I be paying for it thanks guys.

honestly mate if it needs alot of work dont even bother, they can quickly turn into a money pit, and when you say import is it a citi golf from south africa, if so it really not worth it.
there are plenty more out there just keep looking and be patient
