Hi guys
wanting to check my spark plugs and injectors but need to know if I need any bits first for a change!

Do I just pull the injectors out or is it more technical than that

I am scared to death of cross threading the new plugs  or dropping an extension bar into my bores because of how far down the plugs are is there an easy way to do this?

Probably got lost in the "Great Crash of 08

All I done when changing my plugs was be very gentle when withdrawing old plugs.

I used a bit of "blu-tak" in the top of my plug-socket to make sure the plug didn't fall out, it is pretty straght forward.

When putting the new plugs back in, i used the blu-tak again so they didn't drop out, and gently felt for the thread to bite before really screwing them back in.

I also greased the threads before I put the new plugs in.

As for the injectors - i've never done them so can't help

the injectors do just pull out, but can be very very tight if never been pulled before. use a spanner and lever them out against the block! beware of skinned knuckles!!

Once you have them out, replace the 'o' seals on the injectors! there are two per injector one big one small top and botttom! about a quid for the lot from gsf

get the o-rings from VAG, they are better quality for not a lot extra! also, put a smear of vaseline/grease round the rings, makes them easier to refit!
