If you want to spend a grand on something fun, spend it on me. I'll get naked for you and let you act out your wildest fantasies, all for a grand.
80% of your posts are total tripe, as they are mostly replies to sh1te posts created by the morons that, unfortunately this forum attracts.

if insurance is no issue get a cheap classic impreza, nothing will beat it for the money.

if not mr2s are great, had a mk2 rev 2 myself , excellent in the dry and keep you on your toes in the wet! had the back end step out afew times which suprised me as i wasnt expecting it, but catch it early enough and youl be fine

Cheers lads, some good suggestions.

Things may have changed as I now may be car sharing with my younger brother as his insurance is obviously monumental or £1300 with him on mine.

Both earn a NCB (albeit probably needing to be used with Admiral). £1300 on an SDI Golf MK4 which isn't too bad for a brand new 17 year old driver on my policy.

16v MK3 goes up to £2594! Only £900 for me to insure it.

Where all my moneys went.

Golf MK3 1.6. Golf MK3 8v GTI.

What a surprise... its not happening!

Could do but probably happen in the form of a 1.4TDI Lupo or something. All depends on my brother really. TBH, a £400 16v GTI would do me fine ATM.

Where all my moneys went.

Golf MK3 1.6. Golf MK3 8v GTI.

I know a few nice bits of a$$ you could probably spend a grand on.... plenty of fun, but no change given and the only insurance you need to worry about is a bit of rubber.
