respray help
« on: 08 November 2012, 09:10 »
Ok. been looking into getting the mk4 resprayed. had a few quotes off a mates mates body shop. they do spot on work. (See for your self if you go to ultimate dubs 2013 they have a few cars in the show)

anyway. what do i have to do if i get it resprayed.

Had a quote for it white and its pretty good so thinking of going white. obviously i will have to tell the dvla. do i have to inform my inaurance or does the dvla records inform the insurance companies. do i have to pay for the dvla to update my records. does my insurance go up the same as it does with other mods like coilovers?

any help from someone whos had a colour change appreciated.

cheers

Just do it from a couple of Halfords spray cans.

Tell the DVLA and insurance company that they got the colour of the car wrong.

Yes you would have to inform DVLA and insurance. I dont think colour would affect the insurance but i would double check that with your company before getting it repsprayed as insurance companys have gone looney now. In regards to DVLA i dont think they charge to update the vehicle colour.
