I've had my Golf tested on R-Techs dyno back to back with no airbox and then the set up I have now (DSG R32 parts and Green Cotton panel filter)

There was no difference in power output

I was gonna ask at some point what would be best for hybrid (k03/k04-023) as I have dsg on already you think I would need to change to cai?

If on the k03s stage 2 there is no difference you think this will be fine?

2000 GTI 1.8t ARZ, S2000 filter, DSG intake, Forge 007 dv, Catch can, R-tech custom remap, 3" Supersize Silicone TIP, Powerflex dog bone, 'The Beast' FMIC, Ultimate delete, LCR fuel pump, 3" Turbo back, K03 hybrid, Ported Manifold, S3 injectors, 80mm maf = 280bhp 270lbft

S3 and LCR run panel filters dont they
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

Name these people or show me these threads, you only ever hear about it there's no proof, if water was bad for the engine then why do people (like myself) use water injection? say if you did hit a massive puddle and the front of you car was submerged underwater the amount of water u would suck up would destroy the turbo causing the engine to stall so there'd no pressure to suck up water plus you would let off throttle therefor shutting the butterfly valve on the throttle body, so only a little amount of water would get through, not enough to damage your engine.

im sorry but the whole cai and sucking up water thing is rubbish if you ask me.
I never said i had proof and i never said there was a turbo involed either so dont just jump to conclusions i know some people have been affected by this my mates polo was onewhich sucked up waterand then shat itselfstraight away

well you need to make yourself alot clearer next time but if its a n/a car then YES you can suck up water and F**K your engine thats obvious as it goes directly into the engine but seen as u were talking about fitting an induction kit to a turbo car then the water will hit the turbo first. think about it and the distance the water will have to travel.

Ant please stop talking.

There's a much better way of trying to save face.

Or you could just say 'oh I understand now'.

80% of your posts are total tripe, as they are mostly replies to sh1te posts created by the morons that, unfortunately this forum attracts.

Yes they do!! Dunno if the dsg snorkel is big enough at the air box side.... Maybe add another feed into the air box..... Have a feeling that the drain pipe will be coming out  :lipsrsealed:

Dont r-tech sell a induction kit that makes more bhp then a panel filter.   I was glad to lose my smooth airbox and k&n panel filter, think it went in the skip well its long gone somewhere .
