Anyone with unused Folding Mirrors?
« on: 05 November 2012, 17:26 »
Anyone have folding mirrors on their car and doesn't ever use them?  If so, would you be interested in selling them to me (mirrors, controllers and switch) and I'll give you a brand new non-folding set in return, plus money?  I can send you my set first so you're not without mirrors, or if you're local even better (I'm in Darlington).

Long shot I know, but this is how I got my MK5 GTI folding mirrors!

Sorted, wife's new Edition 35 now has folding mirrors. 8)  Thanks go to Lookers at Middlesbrough for arranging this for her - their sales and aftersales have been exceptional. :)

No, took about an hour.  I also did it myself to my Golf R a few weeks ago.

I have been quoted mega bucks for folding mirrors for my Tiguan , How much did it cost you or was it in with the price of the car .

It was in the price of the car.  To buy the bits new costs around £800/900.  I got a full set off Ebay for my R for a bargain £150.

don't mean to hijack the thread , but is it possible to set the mirrors to automatically fold in when you switch off the ignition ? I have them, but have to activate them manually each time ?

Nope it's not possible, as far as I know...
