spacer help
« on: 05 November 2012, 15:05 »
hey guys,

just bought some 17" fox racing alloys, when the tyre place were fitting them today they said they'd recommend getting some spacers for them. this is the first set of alloys i've bought so massively uneducated when it comes to this so therefore have no idea what size to get. any help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers

15mm front and 20mm back gives it a nice stance and lines the wheels up with the arches, also will help in the future when you fit coilys and big brakes. best be is hubcentrics as well, looking at about 100-120 for a decent set of 4

Depends entirely on the width & offset of the wheels?

I'm curious as to why the tyre place recommended them? Are your tyres rubbing on the struts?

they said that i needed them or i'd find the steering wheel was vibrating, seems ok but don't wanna risk anything to be honest.

thanks guys i'll have a look about for some 150 and 200mm ones then.
