ball joints, which side ?

any1 tell me how to tell which side is which for wishbone ball joints just by looking at them, iv ehm mixed em up :(

They have an engraving on the bottom usually 'RM' or 'LM' to designate right and left respectively.

they look the same from the top apparantly, just when looking from below the balls at a different angle

not sure if i can explain this, but the when fitted to the wishbone, the pointy bit will be pointing towards the rear of car rather than front. (top right).

Those produced by Lemforder (OEM supplier) have it marked. Other suppliers might have omitted this.
I just had a rummage through and I only have one picture that shows my ball joint although I'm not sure if you can make out the pointy end, it's a picture of my n/s though.
