back in black (and red)
« on: 15 July 2005, 11:48 »
finally got both dubs back on the road

the valver went straight through the mot last week after bit of work to suspension and brakes.

the cabbie passed today after 8 mths off the road for winter, with only prob the emissions but carb just needed tuning as i had a second hand weber fitted while it was off the road.

would defo recommend a weber if your mk1 still running a pierburg - i havnt got the sportiest model, its just a direct replacement, but its a totally different car to drive now -  so look out chris

after driving the mk2 for 8 mths had forgotten how poor the mk1 brakes are so brake conversion is next on the list

chris - anytime  but the cabbie is back off the road    so ur safe (for now)

took it out for a drive fri nite and she kept cutting out (but at least she made it to the mot this time) - there must b a blockage in the fuel system as only a trickle of petrol getting through to the filter now -  it usually fills right up when its running ok.
