alternator
« on: 03 November 2012, 11:56 »
Just tested mine on my mk4

9-10v output on idle. Goes up to bout 14v when around 2k revs.

Should it be round 14v on idle ?

time to replace alt?

Is it on its way out?

cheers

Should get close to 14v at idle check what you get under load with everything on rear screen, heater on full, all lights on, heated seats if have them. Check at idle and at part load.
