So I had the oil changed and filter changed on the dsg box of my 2008 edition 30 and was much happier. However the kangaroo effect has started again, mostly when warm and in thick slow motorway traffic and is only noticeable in 1st and second gear.
I also have issues when reversing with jerky throttle response. From what I've read on here it sounds like the expensive mechtronic box replacement. The car is 4 years old has full vw service history and when I spoke with vw customer services they mentioned they may be able to cover up to 25% of the cost of the repair.
My local garage tells me that they need to take the box apart to investigate and diagnose the issue.
Has anyone successfully had this issue repaired and is at always the mechatronic that needs replacing, might there be a cheaper fix to this solution? Also does it get worse if I don't repair it or do I put up with it and save myself a fortune?
Also I'm concerned that my garage don't seem to fully understand the problem or indeed have a mechanic that is very experienced with this problem. Will an independent do it for less money and have greater experience?
All advice appreciated, only just bought the car so could do without a big bill
