Had a look on Vagcat for ya and the compressor itself looks the same but the mounting bracket is different.
As for the rest of the aircon I would assume they are the same.

Lovely job! that's the part I was worried about so thank f**k they are the same.

Bracket and couple of hoses are nothing to worry about.

I did say "looked" the same, however they do have different part numbers and some of the hoses definitely are different.

You would think on a vr6 that they have a longer route to travel, should be able to mix and match though?

All I'm worried about is the pump. Ill fab a bracket up if I need to.
