Is my car running right?
« on: 29 October 2012, 20:43 »
I have recently had my golf mk4 gti tuned a little and im not sure if its running right, the list of mods is in my signature, my problem is my boost will only go to 0.6 bar in 1st gear and is slowly drops... then 2nd same then more and more boost the higher the gears and also had a few little races here and there and im not sure im getting much power... maybe just as fast as type-r.. is that normal should i be much faster than a type-r?

Your spec should eat a type r. My stage 2 ko3s eat type r's alive!
You say ur running ko4? With THS intercooler I take it your running ko4 001?.
If remapped tidy an by a good company you should running 250bhp upwards.
Youl need better fueling too as the standard hardware wont cope with that much power.

Did you have rolling road print outs?
I would be very annoyed with your spec and being as fast as type r's lol
1.6-1.8t AGU K03s, Forge actuator, Forge 007p, turbo back exhuast, Ths front mount, Catch can, 5 piece silicone boost pipes and creation sports tip. Stage 2 atm 232bhp 270lbs. Waiting for custom mapping :-)

i have been told around 250 hp is a good estimate for my setup but i think the tuner has made a f**k up with my map.. yes its a ko4001.

No print-outs.

Anywhere in scotland good for tuning golfs? and i would def get injectors if tuner advised ;)
