R32 Exhaust on GTI ?

I've been offered a genuine r32 exhaust for a good price, but what i want to know, would the whole system fit onto a gti AUM spec, i've noticed that were the exhaust dip in the r32 rep bumper is there some sort of plate, would that need to be chopped of or what and were would the back box sit ?

Nope not going to fit without major work.

Unless you fancy cutting out your spare tyre well and welding it up, I recommend getting a milltek r32 style, or getting one made up!

I made this error several years back... Bought a genuine r32 exhaust for £200, couldn't get it fitted without gutting the car, and ended up selling it at a loss of £100!

That's the route I went! Tail pipes are A LOT bigger than the standard r32 system as well!

its all about a 1.8t with the r32 style,  it sounds awesome as the right tailpipe just comes off the backbox and the back pressure makes it roar like mine!
