Best way to begin tuning my mk5 gti?

Any suggeations on what i shoud begin with in terms of tuning my gti? Best ways to improve it within a decent budget..

Get the precat out of the exhaust.. Makes a good bit of difference (in my opinion) and the best part, it is free - if you do it yourself!!  :grin:

Full turbo back exhaust with 100 cell cat, high flow fuel pump and map, should see around 275bhp and can be done for less than £2k

Cheers guys, am assuming itd drink alot mre with the uprgraded fuel pump? But im deffo getting it mapped soon and look forward to that :smiley:

Say i do a remap and and add a cat back exhaust, What should i expect with regards to mpg??? Any would had similar mods? N oh yeh will a turbo back drink alot more?

All I'm going to say is take it to R-Tech for a map :afro:

Full turbo back exhaust with 100 cell cat, high flow fuel pump and map, should see around 275bhp and can be done for less than £2k

Cat back exhaust and a map should see close to 260bhp , fuel economy will be similar to stock unless you boot it everywhere !

APR fuel pump is £800 so probably not worth doing unless your going to go the whole way and change turbo/injectors/intercooler
