Mine's the standard KO3, with the waste gate rods closed up a bit and a custom map, along with a host of other mods. It's good enough for me to be honest. It's at the 300bhp mark as it is currently and whilst it may do with a slight improvement in mid range torque, without making a multitude of other mods it's not really possible. Plus which the turbo isn't under too much stress, it spikes at about 20.4psi, holds at 17.2psi to 4,500rpm and then drops off to about 14.1psi to the redline.
I could go out and buy a KO4, HPFP, WMI, Quaife Diff etc and spend another £3,000-£4,000 and end up with a 450bhp Golf. But to be honest I'd rather sell up, buy an M3 or a Golf R and get it remapped and stick a shiny zorst on it!
