Car Transportation
« on: 23 October 2012, 23:05 »
So, using search I've found lizardlogistics and will give them a shout tomorrow.

Basically, I might need someone to transport a car from the south coast to South Yorkshire, I realise that it won't be cheap but i'd rather that my pants weren't pulled down getting it done. So can anyone help with a company, or indeed with a trailer who wouldn't mind earning a few quid?

TIA.

Was looking on eBay, I reckon it's averaging ~£300 though, which IMO is a bit steep.

Off to bed now though, so will pick this up tomorrow.

Hard to say, only other thing I can suggest is try your local low loader firms and see if they go that way often if so you may find they sometimes come back empty in which case you should get a good price as a back load.

I know Alex, who is Lizard Logistics.

He does a lot of stuff on the continent and is a tosspiece.  A big, hairy tosspiece.

Tell him I said hi.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

when i got clive moved, I sh!tcanned shiply as the fees are worse than ebay  :lipsrsealed:

went onto ebay, in the area I was buying from,  found a suitable firm, and went with them, that way they then source a backload from you, their final destination, ALL quotes i got were cheaper than using firms near me to go get it
