Front Fog Bulbs
« on: 23 October 2012, 14:19 »
I've tried searching and have found a link which tells me how to change the bulb, but can anyone recommend an error free white bulb. I don't use them often but hate the yellow stock look against the xenons.

Cheers

Neil

I've never managed to find any decent bulbs that match my xenons on my Passat. As fog lights are a complete and utter waste of time (especially when you have xenons) it's as well just to not bother turning them on, so the mismatching problem never occurs.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

I hardly do too but the mrs took mine out the other day in the fog and put them on and I didn't like the look. My journey to work is bad every now and again so just thought it might be a cheap little mod?

I have fitted some PIAA Xtreme white bulbs, expensive £60, but they are very white and allegedly produce light equivalent to 110 watts. They do work well though, better than the standard.

Wow £60/£45. Wouldn't you rather just use that to fuel the car and rag it around a bit & have some fun?

Just an aside but white fog lights won't cut through the fog the same way yellow / off white will. They are that yellowy colour for a reason. Although if its purely for cosmetic reasons it probably doesn't matter.
