Panel Filter
« on: 22 October 2012, 22:00 »
hey guys,

had a search but didn't really get a conclusive answer, which is annoying as you seasoned posters have probably answered this question a million times; but none the less...

which panel filter should i get? i've got a mk4 1.8 gti. Pipercross, green cotton or k&n? i understand there's lots of different opinions on them all but i'd just like to find out a bit more how people have got on with them, how they sound, etc..

cheeeers

i was swaying towards the pipercross one, the only thing is that it says it doesnt make any difference in noise, which is the only real reason i want one. have you found it does make a difference?

cheers

Pipercross foam is a good choice as it avoids maf issues, I found mine a little louder tbh if you want real noise then you need an induction kit.
