i dont like the bumper either, nor the tailgate. I'd like a standard clipper one but there impossible to find on there own. I bought the car already sprayed, it was a state when i got it, needs a lot more doing though.

So far i've put the wheels on, done the steering rack, strut tops, seats and got the doors and boot to open (no handles anywhere!). The front bumper's cracked, so if i can get a clipper one i'll fit that. Paint's some silly amount though and chances are it wont match.

I've put mk2 gti seats (front and rear) in it, am going to attempt the door cards at the weekend, want to use the mk2's material so it matches the seats, should be fun!

engine bay is a state, underside of bonnet is sprayed but inner wings are still red. gonna take the engine out and spray it all satin black. I'll give the engine a good scrub up too.

The interior is getting there, carpets are knackered, need to get some nice black ones (does anyone know anywhere that does them for less then £250?) Seats are in and look a lot better than what was in there (burberry style seats with a million and 1 fag holes). Gotta make some door cards to match the seats now. Getting the mk2 bench in the back was a mission, we trimmed it all nicely and it looks factory now though.

Need a black under-dash tray and centre console as well as these are grey and knackered. Trying to locate some but can only find them for silly money.

Its been decked 90mm apparantly, its bloody low. Wheels scrub with anything (not just a person) in the back, but they are 16's.

Try here for your carpet --> http://www.newtoncomm.co.uk/index.html I know it doesn't actually say that they have got the mk1 carpets on the webiste but I spoke to a guy from there at VW Action the other month and I'm sure he said that they could do a full carpet for my cabby for about £140 ish  :undecided: I'd need beige so might cost me more but black should be a doddle for them to do for you, anyway give them a try.

P.S. Your cabby looks crazy bonkers matey !
......now officially dubless.

It looks better in reality - I promise. Ok, so it needs quite a bit of work, but if you look quickly it looks nice!
