Seized pd 130
« on: 21 October 2012, 20:55 »
My old mans pd 130 B5.5 passat has seized.
Just wondering how much work it would be to get it rebuilt and going again, then transplanted into my mk3 colour concept ? Or am I better off looking for a running engine and all running gear ?
I can have the complete 03 car for £50, was thinking if I broke it, it would pay for the work !

I reckon it would probably cost £500 and the rest! Depends how much you could break it for a I guess. If you could get a £1k for it you may be able to afford it.  :undecided:

Forgot to mention got a couple of mates who are always rebuilding engines and doing transplants, at the moment one is running 450 BHP mr2, a ko3 turbo'd Saxo lump in an ax and a fiesta mk2 track car with a mk5 escort rs2000 lump, another is building a 350 BHP rear engined 182 Clio, and another has a string of
VR6 and 20vT mk1/2's under his belt

cost to fix engine is varible depending ho wwell it's killed itself.   then you have to swap a load of shizzel to make it run transverse.  then ether pay someone to ft it or do it yourself.

brakeing the passat may pay for a small insignifacnt portion of that
all the VW's have gone bar 1.
