Blown gear box

My box blew today on the way home from work.
No drive and no noises until you put in 5th and rev it, I am guessing diff as I have selection and clutch.
I know the linkage is f**ked too
Worst bit is I turned down a Mk4 last week for a song citing the reliability of my old tug

Pulled out of the industrial estate 7:00pm, onto the main road, grabbed second, bang rattle clonk bang no drive, rolled into side street and called my boss to help push got pissed on by heavy rain parking it up, got lift home in GTD
Bus in the morning with the window lickers of london

Weekend? finding a box probably or a new motor

Right here goes...

Blew the FD out of the box, broke the diff, NS drive shaft snapped free, broke gear linkage, damaged inner CV, bent shaft, oil everywhere over brand new clutch.

Should be fixed by Monday
