do i have dydraulic tappets or non hydraulic ones?

what i want to no is does my 1985 1.6 jetta have tappets or hydraulic tappets? its a tiny bit tappy but not really noticable but im abit of a perfectionist so was going to get the feeler gauges out and give them a tighten up but before i other taking it all apart thought i would find out if i can or not.

probaly shims   take the rocker cover off  if it's "missing a bearing" there hydralic

Well the point of this thread was to ask what it had so I could adjust tappets if it had any. If it don't I wpnt bother taking it all apart and buying a new gasket as if I can't.
Just shined a tourch inside the oil filler hole and its over head cam so nothing to adjust. Will just stick some thicker oil in instead.

before you start getting stropy  if you had provided more infomation you would have got a more accurate answer. 

1985 is a change over year so chould have ether, may not even have original motor  can usualy tell from a photo of the frount of engine block.   and as for adjusting them if they are solid lifters  yiu have to take it right apart to even get at the shims

i have already answered my own question tbh it has over head cam so its not the rocker setup i thought it was. so i will just try some thicker oil

they are all OHC  engines,   thats why adjusting the solid lifters is a twerp.   you have to take the lifters out to change the shims,  that means removeing the cam
