Go somewhere for a week and fly first class, it makes for a great start to a holiday and possible a one off.

I went to Hawaii for mine. Wouldn't recommend it though tbh.
It sounds exotic and lovely, and is one of those places that very few go to because its expensive to get there. Its exactly that, and also expensive to stay/live there. Oahu has been built up far too much, so its lost the charm it may once have had. We decided on Oahu as there is obviously more to do there than the other Islands. But it honestly didn't really do it for me, or the wife. We have been spoiled previously though with nice holidays, so that may have a factor in it. I'd now much rather go to the far east. One of the other Honeymoon Islands I've also been to is Seychelles. Again, if you want to kinda keep busy and see the sights etc, its probably not for you. The Maldives (been there again) another big honeymoon attraction, and if you can afford to go there, its unlikely to dissappoint. Phenomenally beautiful Islands, and plenty to do. It is very compact though, and the main Island has been extensively over built up. There are over a thousand smaller Islands within the Atoll though.
We went to Borneo (Kota Kinabalu) a few years ago, and that is somewhere I would recommend though. Thailand or surrounding areas are also a great bet. The initial cost may cost a bit (But no more than others I've mentioned), but the cost of living out there is fantastically low. There is just so much to do as well, and some things that you could never experience in life anywhere else! That would be my choice.

It all depends on what you want to do (other than the obvious of course!). A work colleague ended up going to the Maldives for a 5* all-inclusive and loved it. However this sort of thing leaves both the wife and I cold - we have to be DOING something.

So I would suggest picking a break to suit YOUR needs. Lazy and waited on hand and foot? Go to a 5* all inclusive that is somewhere exotic. Want to do stuff? Go to the States. Want to see amazing places? Try down under or Canada.

We had 11 nights in Orlando and did something fun everyday and it wasn't too expensive after all the wedding gifts (spending money for the hol)!. We had upgrades on the plane and a mid-size SUV. Anything would have been overkill for us. We had a fantastic time; we're going back next year.

Keeping schtum. Mostly.

we recently had our honeymoon in Orlando Florida, went with Virgin Holidays for 15 days, 4* Hilton hotel, car hire and tickets to all the disney parks and universal parks. Chance to be big kids again before having kids! It was great, perfect for us... but as previous people have said, it's down to what you're both into etc. Drove to International drive for range of restaurants, and various malls too. Ours all came to £3500 plus spending money.

If you have never been to NY it won't disappoint as its exactly as per your perception from the movies, recommended

Can recommend Maldives, Mauritius, Antigua - all amazing.  Maldives are the archetypal paradise islands and more to do there than you might think, especially if into diving or snorkelling.  Loads of islands to choose from and to suit variety of budgets.  Worth upgrading to a waterbungalow.  Best of all........no traffic and no shoes - true chill-out holiday!  However, if you like dressing up for dinner and if your wife-to-be likes wearing heels then it probably a no no
