Mk4 Golf TDi Manifold Q
« on: 16 October 2012, 15:58 »
Hi all

Oks i have a Mk4 Golf the baby of the TDi's the AGR 90bhp. Early next year i am hopping to have some cash to finally do some performance mods not much but some.

My question is [and bear with me as dont know much mechanics so be genteel is sounds thick lol] would a manifold off a 150 fit the 90? Also would it be worth doing as even with the bigger manifold and more airflow it would still be going to the same size pipe work at the IC.

Would like to know because if its worth doing as my mates going to fabricate me a EGR delete for the 150 manifold and a bigger pipe which runs next to the cambelt cover to the IC with a reducer pipe to connect to the IC.

Thanks in advance and be nice lol
Mike

I know just think would have to replace the clutch and turbo etc etc dont want to spend a lot on it, so was after a little more performance on a shoe string lol

Don't think it will fit... :undecided:

Wait for one of the bigger diesels boys to confirm.

it wont fit..... the 150 is a different turbo to the 130 even, titanium turbine as opposed to steel,
yours is far smaller, would kill your clutch and turbo if it was to fit. lots of work to build the turbo unit to the manifold anyway and what was you wanting or hoping it would do?
just keep it simple do ya self a favour and get your self a re-map lol could go to 130 maybe? just be prepared to renew your old turbo very quickly and lots of smoke too ;)
