My insurance renewal came through today, they wanted £1181 for another 10 months TPFT, I am with Elephant, 19 years old, 1yr NCB, B area of Birmingham and I paid £1420 10 months ago so I was quite happy with this quote. I rang Elephant up and got a new quote for 12 months and at a new address where my car would be kept (girlfriends) and they wanted £2000!! They even said it would be around £150 cheaper if I had it over night at my own address.
After doing some quotes online, I came across Elephants sister company Admiral and tried a quote with them, they wanted £1165 for 10 months (every little helps) or £1365 for keeping it at my own address over night on a 12 month policy!
I rang up Elephant and told them all this so they did me a new quote over the phone and all of a sudden magically got me a 12 month quote for £1303.
I still believe £1303 is a bit on the expensive side, considering I have got 22 months driving experience, 1 years NCB and a fully clean license and B43 area of Birmingham is not bad at all.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I have tried sky insurance which quoted me online for £1200 for 12 months but when I spoke to Ollie on this forum he said I haven't been driving long enough and would require special requirements
