So I needed a piece of air intake piping for an OEM engine. It was a VW AEE, over the last couple of years I have read and found facts online about it and one of them being the application of this engine. I found this engine was the most efficient 1.6 engine, making 74bhp @ 4800 rpm, not alot I know but useful info.
What made it possible for me to find my pipe work from the scappy, was knowing the engine went on to be used in a Mk4 Polo, a Seat Ibiza Mk2, and a Skoda Felecia and Octavia, which I think are the same cars just rebadged!
The first Mk4 1.6 Polo I check and BINGO!
Research your engine codes people!
