New crank sensor now doesnt start at all

Hey all.

Mk3 gti 16v ABF. Massive lack of power and sometimes it would cut out  after  say a 30 mile journey.

After replacing a few bit and grabbing some info. I decided on  replacing the crank sensor. After a day of driveway mechanics, had it all replaced and done.Problem. The car cranks but dont start.

Any ideas ?

what other bits did you replace?

Put the old one back in an see if it starts?

You only ever need two tools in life. If it moves and it shouldn't use Duct Tape. If it does not move and it should, use WD40.

Did the car run after they replaced the sensor?
Firstly I would get it scanned for faults. It's not uncommon for cheap aftermarket sensors to fail within a week/months.

I 'think' i binned the old one.


It wouldnt start the very first time i tried to after i fitted it.
;-
9 Why does this car not want the love im giving it!!!! Anyone in the local area wanna help me have a look or a swap over tomorrow?
