Poorly mini moto
« on: 12 October 2012, 20:19 »
im hoping someone can help me with this............ i got given a mini moto that hadnt been run for a but a year so i put new fuel in it and after abit of fudging about it started and ran fine, after 2 weeks the spark plug kept popping out so i replaced the head as the thread had gone but after putting a new head back on it wont start!! i thought it may be carb related so bought a new 1 but its still not having it, if i put some fuel in the carb it will run for a second til it has used that fuel then wont go again, ive got a spark and short of putting a new engine in im stuck for ideas!!

sounds stupid but choke? if not try the fuel filter,

start from the beginning make sure the fuel is getting through properly then make sure there's a spark, then get back to us

check for bits in the fuel line or blocked fuel filter , is it chinese rubbish or a good one . water cooled or air . me and the mates went through an expensive stage of buying these but proper ones , think iv ot a video somewere of us going up the motorway slip road on them (young and stupid) we fitted Nos to them too . great fun till bobby s fined us and threatened tke us to court
