R32 front arb but which rear arb to suit?
« on: 11 October 2012, 23:46 »
Im going to be fitting R32 front arb which is 23mm i beleve. what rear arb should I go with to balance the car out. the R32 arb is going to be connected with droplinks to the struts. My car is a 1.8t so FWD. I was thinking of the 28mm neuspeed arb.

I've got a 28mm Nuespeed on the rear at the middle setting. With the standard LCR ARB 19mm on the front is I've not hot around to fitting the from 25mm one yet. It nicely balanced at the moment but the grip from the diff plays a part in that as well. I'd go for the 28mm as there adjustable any way you can set it up as you want.
03 210 Seat LCR. Badger5 V2.2TIP, Fordge 007p, Wellycooler, Quaife ATB LSD, Nuespeed ARB's, KW Clubsports, 330mm discs, 3" turbo back de cat and still on the standard map!

If you're fitting the 23mm R32 bar to the struts properly as you said, then firstly, thank god someone is doing things properly for a change :P

With the R32 bar up front I'd definitely go for a 28mm neuspeed rear, anything less than a 28mm and you won't get the nice change in balance that a rear bar usually gives due to the front being pretty big.

Run the 28 on the mid setting and it should be realy nice for road use, and crank it to stiff for track action or a bit of fun :)
