im at my wits end
« on: 10 October 2012, 19:47 »
im still yet to sort out my door locks problem. when i go to car in morning it sounds like the door lock unlock but it doesn't. and when i get in by the car the door lock keeps cycling trying to lock it self back up. i  had it on vag com and the convience module is showing no faults and the door wont unlock without the engine running. what do i do

The module in the door might be knackered.  I believe there is a common problem with poor soldering on the PCBs.  Do a search, seen a few posts about it.

I have recently done done both. Does your kerb light work ? interior light come on when door open , and buzzer when you leave lights on and open door ?

Is the drivers door the one that's faulty (ie not opening)?  Why was it replaced?  Was a new or old one put in?

all kerb lights work and buzzer does. i dont know which one fault as when i come 2 it in the morning none of the door locks will pop up and as soon as they do the pop down again. the driver one was replaced by a  vw mechanic as the inteior light kept coming on when left at night

you need to go through the measuring blocks with vagcom and see what the switches are reading on the doors and boot as you lock/unlock and open/close them one at a time
