car smells of fag smoke

can any tell me what i can you to make the inside of my car smell better because the person that had it be for me smoked in it

Upholstery cleaner on all seats and soak the headliner, remove ashtray and soak in washing up liquid and clean all inside the ashtray slot, then use standard interior trim cleaner on all the plastics. You may have to use upholstery cleaner on the carpets too but the smell does go, believe me!

Hire a rug doctor from morrisons and get rid of any ashtrays that may have had fag ash in. New mats? Bicarbonate of soda in a little pot as this helps soak the smells up.

clean the a pillars, headlining and the windscreen with 6 large tubs of elbow grease. Thats where most of the smoke will of soaked in

dont let any smokers in ,the other half loves the fact i got a new car and shes not allowed in it with a fag

I purchased my golf from a serial smoker , so I got some aerasol spray fabreeze , covered the seats headlining door cards ect ect every time I got in and out the car and by time the can was empty the smell was gone ,

P.s clean the steering wheel ! 99% will be I the wheel and where their hands touch .

im a smoker and i use chemical guys stripper scent and i have never had anyone complain that it smells of smoke. plus it smells bootiful.
