Why do I even bother...
« on: 05 October 2012, 14:16 »

That there is my rear passenger footwell, with 2L of Coke...
Bathed in it is my interior loom.

That is the result of ever trying to do a good deed, the deed was simple: to pick up an acquaintance and drive him on a 600 mile round trip to look at a car. He some how - I've yet to workout how, he managed to pierce a whole bottle of coke on the m25 covering everything including me in coke and blinding me for 5 seconds while I was in the middle of overtaking.

He hasn't shown so much as the slightest concern.

It baffles me why he didn't just hold the bottle, it really does.
I think I need to lay down some basic rules passenger rules as precaution in order to avoid anything of the sort happening again like no drinks or food or anything that so much as casts a shadow. Except when stationary then still mineral water is allowed if more than 2m away from the vehicle. Clearly the stupidity of a select few knows no bounds, so I think I'm going to have to just spell it out to him.

Absolutely disappointed to say the least, I spent the previous evening cleaning the car and putting a passenger seat and seat belts in preparation for today as well. (normally I have a single seat)
Do apologise everyone I'm just venting now.

I managed to remove it after I got back (circa 5 hours) using first, brake cleaner, then thinner and alot of elbow grease, 2 hours to be precise - far from the relaxing evening I had planned) I'm glad to see I'm not over-reacting and that others share my sentiment. It's just that of the whole car only the interior and engine bay escapes the elements and I pride myself on the condition of the two regardless of how stripped the interior is.

To answer your question:

Yes
I have an in-line filler neck between the top radiator hose and the radiator, 15psi cap and 3mm hose from the filler neck to the expansion tank which I've placed in the passenger side of the dash compartment.

Firslty Id be telling him how he may not care about cars, or have passion as we do for them but that does not give him the right for someting like this to happen then not have the common curtisy to even offer to clean it up let alone say sorry.

Me, personally Id be having VERY strong words, my ex tipped an entire kerbab in my old car, I made her pay for a valet.
Shold of seen her face, but she got the message, no food ever came in my car from that day forword.
