New owner in Farnham, Surrey,
just bought a 97/p gti 8v in dragon green. 2 owners, fsh, just had a clutch and cam-belt. Bought it to replace my mk2 mr2, which was becoming a money pit! Do miss it though...First golf I have owned, though i have worked for a vw dealership many moons ago, so am aware of their reliability...I cant believe how well it drives! 140'000 miles, and still feels tight, no bangs, bumps etc...completely standard, same owner for the last 8 years...
great owners club you have here, the mr2 oc was a great club, and it looks like I have joined another good one!
have owned a fair few motors over the years, and do most of my own servicing, apart from clutches, gearboxes etc...getting to old for that now! cars I have owned....mazda mx3 1.8V6, ford probe,2.0 honda crx 1.6-16, and civic vti, peugeot 205 gti 1.9, Ford Puma 1.7, Ford Fiesta xr2 mk2, and now my memory is failing lol....look forward to chatting with you all on the various forums....and giving and receiving help and advice.
