Wazzzer, it's cell standby that takes a massive chunk. On idle it takes about 70%, otherwise about 30%, then screen about 60% and the rest is about 10%.

Got the 3 branded update but will wait for the unbranded version to come out as I'd like to keep my phone that way

Look at battery drain on airplane mode.

Check out the awake line, few blue bars.

Compare it to when the phone is on normally.

Tried deleting the samsung account and turning all sync off but still getting loads of wake ups. The phone just won't go into deep sleep. I've bought bestbatterysaver app and it's saying out of the 25 minutes it was "sleeping" for, 24 of them it was awake, and only 1 was in deep sleep. I think I'm going to wait for JB update and factory reset the phone, see how it goes then.

Look at difference between airplane and normal, it's crazy.

Weird, it shouldn't be using sod all battery whilst in airplane mode.  :undecided:

Right left it overnight with all location services turned off and it was a lot better. Check this out.

The last two you can see towards the end, where I turned google location, gps, sensor aiding and wireless location back on, it was awake every few minutes. Just testing it again with GPS and sensor aiding off now.

When that was off it was using 0.8% per hour which is great, and used 8% all night.
Seems like wlan_rx_wake, powermanagerservice, Battery monitor, Networklocationlocator and 3gwatchdog are the apps awakening the device more often and longer than others. Anyone have any ideas?

I don't have 3G watchdog any more as ICS/JB has it's own usage monitor and ability to turn off the 3G when you hit the user set limit

Ok I've sorted out the wlan_rx_wake drain. I've assigned a static IP for the S3, apparently using DHCP causes the wifi to refresh constantly, causing all the wakelocks. We'll see how that goes!

Still going to suffer from drain because of google maps though, which sucks as I wanted to leave GPS, wireless networks and sensor aiding as well as google location on constantly, incase I loose my phone I can track it via samsung dive.
