For charger I've got a 1800mhz duracell portable charger which I give plenty of use when flying and at airports.

I do need to get a dock, but I might splash out a bit more to get a dock with speakers and maybe some other fancy features.

That battery does look powerful enough for a week's use! But I charge my phone every night, so as long as it lasts me 12 hours or so then I'm happy. As you say though, an £8 battery in a £500 phone is trouble I think.

What was that accessory that sends video to your TV? Is that with the Xbox or does it need a TV with BT or wifi?

Oh and Thai, cheers for the reply. I think the HOX has been a massive massive blow for HTC, it must have lost probably millions in a device riddled with numerous flaws. I've lost so much respect for the HOX I've barely touched it since it arrived from repair yesterday morning. Can't wait to get my hands on the S3

I just ordered a Rock quicksand case in dark grey for mine which hopefully give it some of that HTC tactile loveliness.

I've literally just discovered that you can also buy metal replacement back covers to ditch that nasty thin plastic crap that is supplied from the factory. If I'm not overly keen on the new case i know what il be ordering next.

1 & 2 are only battery covers and I'd look at the sideways opening flip covers like the official Samsung unit - or other "wallet" covers, just because I think downwards flipping covers would get annoying.

Unbelievable. Got my 3rd HTC through and guess what? A NEW different problem. When pressing the screen around the edges the LCD liquid behind the glass ripples. Unbelievable quality from HTC, I'm truly amazed. What kind of QC do the phones go through?

On the phone to VF now getting my S3.

The Korean made HOX's seem to be better built, the Chinese made HOX's seem to be made of a polycarbonate cheese

I think the reason they've bought out the HOX+ is because they've had a lot of problems with the HOX and hoping to redeem themselves.

Yeah I'm not surprised. So many people on xda developers and the VF eforum saying they're on their 3rd or more phone and still with issues.

The OneX+ does look good.....1.7Ghz jeez! But no doubt there will be issues yet again, screen, grip of death, GPS. I think HTC need to seriously re-evaluate their quality control procedures. It's funny because when I spoke to VF they said neither they or HTC were aware of any issues with the HOX, yet when I called HTC and told them I had an issue with the GPS they said "oh yes, is that the issue that it finds where you are but moves around your area?". All it'd take is a quick google search and you'd find 1000's of different customers with issues. I hate the fact they're denying common issues.

It's a shame the UK spec S3 has 1gb of ram unlike the US which has 2gb. But at least I look forward to using SkyGo, which was unavailable for the HOX. Also S3 gets JB before the HOX doesn't it?

There's a quad core Exynos 5 powered LTE variant with 2Gb ram  It's the GT-i9305 and comes with JB on it already, though it's a bit more expensive.

JB is out on some S3's, mostly in Europe (Poland,Italy and other odd countries) though we Vodafone branded folk can flash the unbranded JB update, which voids your Vodafone support but still gives you official Samsung support as it's an official Samsung rom - you can always flash back to the UK Voda rom if you do need Voda's help.
