See if your network do the International 4G version (NOT the poor American version with dual cores!) and if they do, get it exchanged if you've had it less than a week or two

oh and don't fret too much, the i9300 3G S3 is more than capable of doing anything you could want it to! It's ridiculously fast, even on apps that aren't optimized to use all of it's power!

Oh right ok, i don't suppose you know if Three stock the i9305 do you? Im a bit disppointed to find out theres a better version with 4G capability  available.

If you find out let me know, my phone didn't arrive today but I had a feeling the stretch of water would delay it

VF are a f**king joke. Weds I called and was told thursday I'd have the S3, along will collection of the HOX. I called VF around 2pm to find out the order status as I hadn't received any updates on the tracking of the phone. I was told that the order hadn't been put through fully. The guy said he'd put it through straight away and the S3 was scheduled for today and the collection of the HOX for monday. Again no updates or anything so today I call again and have been told that it's not been marked as dispatched yet, because they haven't received my old handset, so they can't dispatch the phone until they receive the handset, which is supposedly collected monday. So I won't have the S3 till mid next week at least. I told the woman I spoke to that VF need to wake the f**k up (using those exact words) and she apologized and credited my account with £10, I told her I rather have the S3 today than the £10. If on monday my phone is not collected I'm calling back and the manager will be hearing me. I wish I'd moved away from VF, they're a bunch of f**king useless monkey thingys.

Mine is here, the i9300 version...

Not that fussed now TBH as I had a word with 3 about it and they said by the time 4G is fully up and running everywhere properly it will be time for my upgrade (24 months)

Now to decide on what happens to the S1, ebay or recycling? I can get £79 for it on the recycling sites although ebay S1s seem to be going for around the £100 mark

Id take £79 for it and have less hassle. Remember it'll cost you at least £20 on eBay anyway with final listing and selling  fees etc.

Well I must say I am well impressed... I was going to bin off the standard android system and stick CM10 on here but I think I'll leave it be for now. It's a complete world apart from the S1, really happy with it so far.

To give it the CM10/Vanilla android feel, while keeping the awesome Samsung features install another launcher (Apex and Nova are good) with a Jelly Bean theme and ICS background
