Bridgestone
Dunlops
Continental
Were the mian suppliers for the GTIs from the factory.

Bridgestones are noisy, Dunlops go blocky and loose grip once they ware down, Continentals crack with age. Cannot win

Mine came with Continentals - can't fault them as yet, but definitely better than the Bridgestones!

Im not a great fan of the continentals i have them on the leon and after a few years they cracked and started to split between the treads. When i got them changed they actually split when they compressed the tyre to remove them.  The tyre fitter said continentals just don't last long so if i was not doing alot of miles to use another brand which i did.

You might find that come the summer you'll want to swap them out before you need to.

If you go to Tyre Barn down Bone Lane and they'll give you a great price on some Goodyears...

Hey Jim. You may well be right, but I kinda stretched myself buying this car. Oh we'll time will tell.

How much did you pay for your good years? I normally go to Headley tyres.

I paid £130 a tyre at Tyrebarn & Headley were £135 and I didn't have to wait for 4 hours for them to do it.

I won't go to anyone other than Tyrebarn now.
