if i was doing the conversion id buy a complete vr6 donor so you have absoloutely everything in a known working state should be enough left over to make some money back -body work, mechanicals, interior, chassis, lights etc

What do you want to spend? I have a vr6 that's only done 82,000 miles and it had a rebuild at 78,000 costing £2800.
It's had loads of body mods.
New yoko tyres
I bought it as a donor car for my gti but decided both cars are to nice to brake.
