Strange Film On VW Badge Within Engine Compartment
« on: 27 September 2012, 15:42 »
When I went to top up my screenwash the other day I noticed that the VW badge within the engine compartment was covered in a blue film sort of stuff.

It's the first time I've opened the bonnet since I got it just 2 months ago so just wondered if this should have been removed during dealers PDI (was brand new the car) or if there is a reason it is like that?

Cheers folks!

should have been removed in the PDI... no biggie. I remember my interior roof light (the rear one) had this on it and I didn't notice it for weeks after buying the car.

That's great, thanks for your input there guys.

I think I'll just leave it on for the time being as I kinda like the idea of it being protected.

Well as it's a brand new car why should there be any need to check the levels?

Just because it's new doesn't mean someone hasn't filled it up properly, it's happened to someone on here.

I would take it off, with the heat in there , in time it may not be so easy to remove.
