I tried that as I have several big G clamps - it dont work!

Spoke to a technician at a VW dealer today and he said you must use the proper tool or you risk destroying the caliper...tool purchased from mill auto for £23..:afro:

Top man. I can't see the point in potentially wrecking a calliper for the sake of twenty quid which you can use in the future. :afro:

Best £23 i ever spent, there is no way in hell you could wind those pistons back safely without using the tool.
